First it is fast, in just a matter of a few minutes it delivered information that I would have spent hours per day for several weeks to gather.
Second it gave me the top competitors on each part number, when I did something like this manually I only checked two or three sites per part number, and I usually used the same sites. This was a mistake because while one of those sites may be priced lower on a particular part number, they could have been higher on other part numbers. Relying on this information, led me to the wrong conclusion. Competition Spy gave the prices from everyone, which I never would have had time to do.
The color code is great, I known at a glance that the green part numbers are fine, the orange are warnings which made me look at them and make appropriate changes, and the red are the critical numbers. It highlights how I am way out of touch if my goal is to be either the lowest priced or competitive.
The number of sellers is also interesting, as it gives me a feel on the number of direct competitors I have. A hidden beauty is the page title display for each competitor. This gives me a great view of possible anchor text phrases to rank for. I can compare titles with others, and if I find a better one, you know I am going to use it.
All in all this is one of the most significant tools I have seen for being successful on the web. I am sure that it will become one of the most used, and beneficial programs that I have.
