SEO READY REALITY CHECK What does it mean when a Shopping Cart Software is SEO Ready? How do you know that it truly has all the possible SEO features that you would wish to have on your website? After browsing a dozen competitor Shopping Carts and realizing that they all claim to have the same SEO features, I figured that we had to differentiate our company from all of them.

Google recommends every webmaster to follow their SEO guidelines, so why wouldnt they be SEO ready? It seems that nowadays when a Shopping Cart claims that they are SEO Ready, it is just another great example of how they created something that sounds great on paper, but in reality it is as worthless as the paper theyve used. Dont get me wrong, Ahrefs, SEOmoz and MajesticSEO are all great SEO tools. However, they wont make your Shopping Cart any better. These SEO tools will help you research and build your SEO campaign, they will NOT help you automate anything. SEO tools are just TOOLS. These SEO tools were not made for Shopping Carts to claim they are SEO ready, and then turn around and try to convince you to buy these SEO tools because they didnt want to develop similar ones into their own platform. How does it make sense that they are SEO ready, but you have to buy more SEO tools to do SEO?

So next time you see a Shopping Cart advertising their sophisticated SEO app partner, remember that the features are already overhyped as is, but whats even worse is when you realize that the integration between your Shopping Cart and the SEO app partner is not fully compatible and it wont support 50% of the over hyped features.
Finally, a shopping cart that will try to sell you SEO monthly service, you know the one where they claim they will do all the work for you. Well, that SEO service is the biggest rip off you can buy. SEO is a full time job, and if you think you can pay $500 per month for a fully managed campaign that normally cost several thousand per month, than you are going to be very disappointed.
A successful SEO campaign requires SEO tools, SEO full time worker, and a skill level 40 part time SEO manager that actually knows what he is doing. The only thing you will get from a shopping cart SEO service is the depletion of your bank account, and if you are lucky your rankings will remain the same as they were before you started. In the worst case scenario, you will lose money, time and search engine rankings that you previously had before you started because the SEO manager that managed your SEO campaign had no idea what he was doing. Thus, the SEO service performed by your Shopping Cart can work against your rankings and make it even worse than before, sometimes it is so bad that its unrecoverable.
