Google Analytics shows the wrong traffic! YES THEY DO. At first I thought that our server logs were not parsing the crawlers (bots) and user correctly. Since we did not implement an advanced version of analytics before, there was no way to tell.

Then the next indicator was Cloudflare, they showed double traffic than Google Analytics which was much closer to what our logs showed. Cloudflare told us that Google Analytics uses Javascript, so those that dont have javascript or it doesnt load fast enough, the traffic will not be recorded. Makes Sense!

Finally today we released an advanced version of analytics in Shopping Cart Elite, and it accurately matches Cloudflare. SERVER LOGS DO NOT LIE.

Then I went to Google to see how many people complain about it (Google:google analytics no accurate), and the results one million complaints.

The best post I found is located on (http://www.seomoz.org/blog/how-reliable-is-google-analytics) and indeed I could not have said it better.

Bottom line is, if you see a loose of traffic it is possible that there really was no loose of traffic, it was Google not loading their javascript fast enough.

The analytics on your Shopping Cart Elite dashboard are now 100% accurate and will now show you the unique visitors and the crawlers that actually visit your website.
