One Email is Worth More Than You Think - $10, $100, $1000, $10,000

We all heard of Email Marketing, Email Marketing, Email Marketing, More Email Marketing here and More Email Marketing there.

However to date, in the whole eCommerce industry, I have not seen one good email marketing campaign even from the top retailers. So instead of explaining how it works and why it will benefit you, I will give you an idea and you take it to the next level.

You see email marketing is extremely effective in the affiliate marketing industry and the Internet marketing industry. That is because they have no other way to sell a product that is worth $100 at best, for $2000. But none the less they sell at $2000 and make millions during the first week of launch.

Now since I have experience in both industries, here is an idea how to marry the two.

I will use Custom Maxima as an example (Custom Maxima specializes in Nissan Maxima parts). If a customer buys from you or at least provides you his email to get more information about your products, do you agree that:

  • He owns a Nissan Maxima

  • He is interested in hooking up his car

  • He is interested in what you are selling

  • He is willing to be sold to and listen to your proposals

  • He voluntarily gave you his email address to market to him

Think about this for a moment

  • He owns a Nissan Maxima - THIS IS YOUR PERFECT TARGET MARKET!

  • He is interested in hooking up his car

  • He is interested in what you are selling - HE LIKES WHAT YOU SELL AND WANTS MORE!

  • He is willing to be sold to and listen to your proposals

  • He voluntarily gave you his email address to market to him - HE IS ASKING YOU TO SELL TO HIM

I hope you realize that you are now obligated to SELL, SELL, SELL. And not just collect the email database for a showcase. TIME IS CRITICAL, you need to capture their attention the moment they give you permission to email them.

Again, the guy gave you his email address so you can sell him products and all you do is ignore it. Its like me telling you hey I got $2,000 to spend on parts, can you send me some information. You say sure, and NEVER DO IT!

I mean seriously if you had the guy on the phone can you do it? IF YES, why cant you do it offline via EMAIL instead of the phone???? WHY???

SOLUTION:

Now I am not saying go spend hours all day writing emails to your customers one by one. This needs to be automated. We are currently working on an advanced solution in Shopping Cart Elite, but there are simple ways of doing it which you can use today.

First you need an account with Mailchimp (Its free), and start using their auto responder. The way the auto responder works it schedules the emails that you will send out in advance. Then all you have to do is insert an email into mailchimp and it will start sending out the emails based on a schedule.

SO WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO EMAIL?

To start, you will write 15 email scripts promoting one of your products to one person. Just like you would do it on a telephone. LITERALLY!!! .. Write the email just like you would talk on the phone.

If you cant do it, record yourself next time you pitch something on the phone, or practice with your friend and record yourself.

The same way you talk on the phone, write an email just like that.

Create a discount code which will work for at least a year. Except in the email you will say it expires in 48 hours or sooner depending if you run out of inventory.

Now. the fun part.

You have 15 emails, that will go out 3-4 days a part from each other. That equals to 1.5 month selling campaign.

If you have a hungry customer, who is willing to buy your products and be sold to, how many sales will that 15 email campaign make you?

$10? $100? $1000?

What if it works (AND IT WILL), how is this going to help your branding? Next time the guy needs something who do you think he will go to? What if you launch this email campaign year round and renew it every year? Will that increase to $10,000 per customer?

Do you see where I am going with this?

Your one little email which seems worthless to you, can put an extra few thousand dollars EACH in your pocket at the end of each year. Your sole goal for your email marketing campaign would be to gather a GOOD RELEVANT EMAIL ADDRESSES and insert them into your Mailchimp autoresponder. Then the money will start coming in like a winning slot machine.

  • Facebook (visit www.openbook.org and type in the keyword, next thing you get is people who love their Nissan Maxima or just bought one!). Make friends, tell them who you are, get their email.

  • Twitter (search.twitter.com - same idea as openbook but on Twitter)

  • Give out valuable information in exchange for an email
